What an incredible tour! We truly had the best experience, and our guides, Ismael, Anthony, and Mike, made the day so special. They were amazing with our kids (ages 3 and 5), so patient and encouraging. They even helped give our 5 yr old the confidence to go down the waterfall slide! The lunch was delicious, and our photographer did an incredible job capturing the day with beautiful photos and videos. She even made the sweetest handmade souvenir for my kids. We’re staying in Dominicalito, and they were kind enough to meet us halfway instead of having us drive all the way to Quepos. That saved us about 30 minutes each way and made everything so much easier. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!
My family and I had a wonderful time today with the paddle 9 crew. Ken, Matteo, Damian, and Maya were wonderful guides. First the booking process was a breeze, communication was great and they helped us pick a tour that worked for our budget. We opted for the full day waterfall tour. They picked us up in a shuttle at a halfway point saving us drive time due to our location being further south. The first waterfall was a great warm up with some easy jumps. They gave us some pointers on where to jump to stay safe and even provided a life jacket to my 6 year old daughter who isn’t the best swimmer and wasn’t feeling very brave. But after that, she jumped in with the rest of us including our 9 year old daughter too. Then they took us to a second location with a 15-20’ jump, as well as a natural waterslide, and 30’ jump. Again they had safety gear and knowledge on where/ how to stay safe. We stopped for a fresh fruit snack, then off to a third waterfall, just to chill and wait for lunch. The tilapia farm was fresh and tasty and even had chicken tenders and fries for the kiddos…then we finished the day at Playa Las Ventanas before returning to our car. Maya took some amazing photos and videos at each location. It was nice not to have to worry about trying to get a photo of any of us jumping or just as a family in front of a beautiful back drop, and I don’t think I could have gotten a shot that good even if I tried. Damian also gave us a lot of fun historical facts while on the bus. Sure these places are publicly accessible and you could just go there, but you lose the knowledge and safety aspects by going alone, and you would miss out of the great info about Costa Rica, not to mention the wonderful vibes that came from the paddle 9 crew. TLDR - All of us including my 9 & 6 year old daughters had an amazing day. Thank you Paddle 9!
We had the best time with Paddle 9! We chose to take it easy and do the pedal kayaks on our honeymoon and we had the best day with Reece and Ismael! They really knew the mangroves like it was no big deal, and they were full of facts. We saw owls, ant eaters, monkeys and so much more. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you guys!
